About

Aarti The Artist is a British South Asian artist whose work explores culture, heritage, identity and the experiences of the South Asian diaspora. Based between the UK and the UAE, Aarti creates artwork that celebrates the beauty of belonging to more than one culture while embracing the complexity of finding balance between different identities.

Working primarily in digital illustration alongside mixed media and acrylic painting, her art is inspired by personal experiences, nature, mental health, travel and the stories that connect us all. Each piece is created with the hope that someone will see themselves reflected in it- whether through a familiar cultural tradition, a shared emotion, or a quiet moment of self-reflection.

As a child of the diaspora, art became a way for Aarti to explore and reconnect with her heritage. Today, that same curiosity continues to shape her work, creating pieces that celebrate both the things that make us unique and the experiences that unite us. Her aim is to create art that feels meaningful, comforting and thought-provoking, inviting conversations around identity, belonging and self-expression.

Alongside her artwork, Aarti is the founder of Desi Sip & Paint, a community-driven creative experience that brings people together through art, culture and conversation. Over the past two years, she has hosted workshops across the UAE and UK, creating welcoming spaces where people can connect, celebrate their heritage and discover their creativity- regardless of artistic experience.

Every print available in the shop is professionally produced from Aarti's original digital artwork. Limited editions, seasonal collections and selected custom commissions are released throughout the year. Whether you're looking for a statement piece for your home, a meaningful gift or artwork that reflects your own story, each piece is created with care and intention.

Thank you for supporting independent art. Every purchase helps Aarti continue creating, sharing stories, growing creative communities and helping more people feel seen through art.
